Yikes! I think a week has passed since my last post hence the name change from “a photo a day”. Not that I have not been shooting, just not posting. The months leading up to the holidays feel like one long exhilarating day. I started the blog in September but still have not had a chance to fully explore it – so I have kept it simple at this point. I am a photographer, not a writer – so I freeze at every blog post (doing well today!) Stay tuned in 2011 for full blog posts from sessions. And as always, thanks for looking. xo hh

I love watching a child’s reaction when the camera is in their hands. They don’t care that there is no film, cf card. They are just clicking away and happy – just like me!

There was a time when I photographed with various vintage cameras. I borrowed this Kodak Brownie Bull’s Eye from Cousin Bill who not only has a fine collection of cameras himself but still shoots with film! http://www.flickr.com/photos/wm_harting/ Not me though, all digital. Do I like it better? It’s just different, completely different. I shot this image with the 85 pc. I love this lens and it might remind me in a small way of the Diana, Dories or Holga only with more control. Pre 85 pc I was using a Lensbaby. It’s all fun…

Nothing like a good puddle after two days of rain!

I photographed Ethan at his South End loft. He twirled and whirled showing me all the moves that only an eight year old can have!
Nothing better on a gorgeous autumn night than photographing a beautiful girl. Suzanne’s eyes just sparkle with life and laughter. Boyfriend Steve joined us at the end for a few shots!

What inspires me? Today it was a pair of hot pink sneakers and hopscotch!
