On an early winter afternoon I was met with sunny smiles from the fun loving Dooling family at their home just outside of Boston. Retired Boston Celtics player Keyon Dooling and wife Natosha Dooling are the busy parents of four beautiful children and owners of  Sportsality online sports magazine (check them out on Facebook.) Despite the freezing temperatures, the children rallied and we had a blast outside. Running, jumping, and snuggling with Dad in between shots kept everyone warm. When we had enough of the cold, we went inside, and created a little snow magic! Upon leaving Keyon said that it was their “most fun photo shoot ever” – exactly what I was aiming for!

Treasure. That’s what a town that looks like this is to me.

Where it feels like it could be any year, except the year it is…

It all fits perfectly with the house I am about to visit.

I didn’t know this woman, but I know she was the last one to live here by what was left behind. The rest of the family grown up, passed away, or moved on…

I know she liked England, saved newspapers and magazines of historical events.

The drawers were all lined with newspapers from the era of when her children were small. The whole house reminded me of my own grandmother who passed away 35 years ago at the age of 86. Who was this woman living in such a bygone era?

Bookshelves filled from her own parents and grandparents lives, handed down, saved, now sold off.

Decade after decade represented.

Before politically correct was a term.

Were items saved because of the fabulous packaging? Or just forgotten about?

Something to add to my own collection!

Hundreds of Air Mail letters, all neatly organized, the only thing not being sold or thrown away in the entire house. A whole lifetime in those letters from England.

Happy New Year!

I always appreciate new beginnings. I love Monday mornings, the beginning of a new month, the change of seasons, the start of a new year.

I decided to do the Project Life 365 challenge this year for fun (anyone else doing it?!) and the challenge today is “resolution”. I thought a lot about the word, what it felt like, and could look like.

Resolution to me is to find as much beauty through out my days. What does it mean to you?

Dreams do come true! Three week old Maddy is as sweet as can be. To quote her two loving mothers “In just a short time she has taught us the true meaning of love”.

Wow, the months have just flown by since I last uploaded to my blog. So grateful for all my fabulous clients who keep me so busy all the time that I can just about manage Facebook, never mind about the blog and website.. There is always something new and exciting to photograph each day. Thank you for looking and enjoy!
